Woman sues Lil Wayne and TSU
Kentucky woman who claims she was injured last year at a rap concert at Tennessee State University is suing the school, rapper Lil Wayne and Memphis man for $150,000.
In the lawsuit, which was filed last week in Davidson County Circuit Court, Candice Smith, of Lexington, said she was knocked down by a surge of fans almost as as soon as Lil’ Wayne hit the stage at Gentry Center.
The fans were believed to be running to get money that the rapper had thrown into the crowd at the March 2006 show.
Smith suffered a broken collarbone and other injuries that have caused her to miss a substantial amount of time from work and school, the suit claims.
The woman blamed the rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, for inciting the crowd and said similar incidents have happened at other concerts. “Carter knew or should have known that throwing money into the crowd would result in a rush of fans towards the stage, which could cause fans to be injured,” the suit says.
A phone call placed after hours to a spokeswoman for university was not returned. The rapper could not be reached for comment.

i don’t think it is his fault because the fans ran her down…..i think that she should be more careful next time.
